a. Steam locomotive engineman's kit list. B, fire bucket and one pound of cotton. Waste. C. Kettle with lid and hanging handle. D. Syringe for removingwater from axel boxes. E. Billy (usually made of powdered milk tin). F. Engineer's ball peened hammer. G. Billy boiler rod also used for axel box cover lifter. H. Axel box pad holder (for wool pads). i. Brake block, fibre, used to be metal. Attached to locomotive or wagon wheels to form a brake. J. Engine oil bottle (8 pint cap). K. Super oil bottle (6 pint cap). L. Kero bottle (one pint cap). M. Oil feeder (for oil axel box & oil cups, brushes for cleaning parts. Kit incomplete.
