A colour photograph of Arthur and Florence Russell. Head and shoulder studio portrait. He is wearing a striped jacket with white shirt and maroon patterned tie. She has a blue jacket with three strands of pearls and pearl earrings. 'Max Shepherd Sydney' written in lower left corner. Written in blue ink on reverse 'To my/darling and m & Pop/with all my love/Joy/ Taken 4th November 1952 and hur & Flowence Russell.'

Historical information

Florence Chick (nee Fraser) lived at 19 Union Street Subiaco all her married life. Initially with her 1st husband Mr Chick and her 2nd husband Arthur Russell. The front room was rented out just before the war. The Russells never had a car. Florence Russell (nee Fraser) born 1902, died 2001 aged 99 years. Doris Chick went to Subiaco Primary School.
