LACE MAKER

1902
Overview

The lace maker consists of a wooden board covered in red velvet and in a cut away a wooden cylinder is fitted onto two brackets. This is covered in felt and a paper number system is glued to this. Pins are attached to these numbers as are the lace threads. A second roller attached by wire (one broken) rests on the board. Lace maker was owned by Mrs Watson about 1902 and donated by her grandson H.J. Smith
