Looking south west on the corner of Marine Terrace and Queen Street sits the Old Courthouse Busselton. Photo circa 1916. Photo taken from the view of the wooden lighthouse. The Old Courthouse is one of the oldest buildings in Busselton, constructed between 1860 and 1897.
The original Courtroom and Bond Store was build by David Earnshaw in 1860. David was an inn keeper, local builder and one of the first policemen in Busselton.
On the right of the image is where the kalamazoo or hand car would deliver goods that came on the train down Cammilleri Street, to the Bond Store.

As one of the oldest buildings in Busselton the Old Courthouse holds significance to its architecture as well as, providing an inside into law and order in early Busselton life. The Old Courthouse is now an interpretive centre and part of the ArtGeo Cultural Complex in Busselton.
