A Bronze Wetland
Located in Shere Street Park, this unique drinking fountain transforms a functional public amenity into an engaging artwork inspired by the local wetland environment. Cast in bronze, the miniature wetland scene features frogs, fish, turtles, beetles, reeds and native plants gathered around a small pond, inviting visitors to discover new details with every visit.
Designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, the artwork celebrates the biodiversity of the area's wetlands while encouraging curiosity and interaction. The bronze sculpture sits atop a flowing Corten steel plinth that echoes the forms and materials of nearby public artworks, creating a strong connection to the surrounding landscape and park setting.
