Historical information

Ursula was born in 1919 so probably played with the doll in the 1920s when growing up in Forrestdale.
Ursula was the youngest of five children born to Lillian Maude and Alfred Tunbridge Skeet who had married in 1912. Ursula spent close to the first 28 years of her life living on the Forrestdale farm, helping the family look after the chooks as well as helping her father run the Forrestdale post office out of a room in the family home.
Following the death of her father, she moved to the South Perth area with her mother. Ursula looked after her mother while working as a office clerk until Lillian's passing in 1967.
With the passing of her mother Ursula became the keeper of the families 'treaures' which she cared for until she donated them to History House. It was also during this time Ursula decided to get married.
Ursula passed away in 2006, age 87.
