Plaque - Ritchie Smith Scorecards - 1995 Men's Championship
Ritchie Smith won the Men's Championship in 1995. His scorecards for the event were mounted on a plaque that was displayed in the club for many years.
The 1995 Annual Report includes a statement by Captain Ron Hendrie: "Ritchie Smith ... gross total of 278 over four rounds of stroke play is not only a Club record but a WA record."
At the time Ritchie's handicap was scratch, meaning his rounds of 69, 70, 68 and 71 were a total of ten under par.
The scorecard appears as bronze coloured plastic plate mounted on a perspex backing board.
