Ritchie Smith won the Men's Championship in 1995. His scorecards for the event were mounted on a plaque that was displayed in the club for many years.
The 1995 Annual Report includes a statement by Captain Ron Hendrie: "Ritchie Smith ... gross total of 278 over four rounds of stroke play is not only a Club record but a WA record."
