Government Railways Padlocks
Two brass padlocks - WAGR standard Lockwood padlock with key and an Australian Railroad Group Lockwood padlock, no key.
These standard locks were used statewide for general purposes. Australian Railroad Group (ARG) bought Westrail Freight.

Details
Padlock 1 is engraved on the front with an oval featuring the wording "Lockwood Australia" and beneath is the wording "Aust. Pat. No. 129699". The rear is engraved "W.A.G.R." and underneath is engraved with "8H". Padlock 2 is engraved on one side with an oval featuring the wording "Lockwood". The other side is engraved with a circular logo behind two arrows pointing left and right. The left arrow encompasses the letter "A" and the right arrow encompasses the letter "R", in between the arrows is a kangaroo. Inside the circle is the wording "Australian Railroad Group". Beneath the logo are engraved the numerals "005-801". Underneath the lock is engraved with "AR3".
Items are examples of industrial security devices employed in the late 20th century.
