Overview

Sepia photograph printed on cream surround with edges cut irregularly. It is a studio photograph of Eileen Mary Newman. She is wearing a pale dress with lace detail, a sash around the waist, pearl pendant and bar brooch at the neck, gold-link bracelet, large hat with an ostrich feather and she holds what appears to be a feather boa. Handwritten on back: 'Eileen Mary Newman in her early twenties. The hat was a saxe blue straw with a beautiful ostrich feather to match. Dress was cream made by myself. Uncle George Roe gave me the hat.'
