CHAIR: MAHOGANY WOOD WITH FLORAL CUSHION C.1845
c. 1845From a collection of two identical chairs in dark mahogany wooden chairs. Seats are covered with linen material (faded) which has a pale green and pink floral design on a beige coloured background. The seat is a trapezium shape narrowing towards the back of the chair. The curved back of the chair is open with a carved timber cross bar across the back. The back legs are curved and extend slightly past the back of the seat, and are positioned slightly inwards under the seat. The front legs are rounded and more solid than the back legs. Date: Early Victorian or late William IV, c. 1845.
