The photograph shows a large group of children in fancy-dress of varying modes, flanked on each side by a few adults. The photograph was taken in a large hall, with two Union Jacks and the Australian flag hanging in the archway of the stage behind the group. The venue is unknown. Handwritten on an extra piece of paper stuck on the mount underneath the image are the words "Copies can be obtained from Fall Studio, 118 William Street at 2/6 per copy".
