Contextual Information

Competition between clubs largely ceased during WW1. Competitive shooting was restarted after the war often with new trophies. This shield was donated for competition between clubs in the South West of WA. The shield records a number of clubs outside the major population centres (Collie, Bunbury and Donnybrook) recruited keen and skilled marksmen notably the small settlements of Roelands and Allanson.
