LACE, MACHINE, CHANTILLY, EDGING
The ‘V’ shaped shawl 680mm at the neck edge, 1600mm on outside edge and at centre is 480mm deep.
Machine made in black cotton, it is typical Chantilly lace with light shading and floral design.
The machine made floral fabric has hand needlerun outlining thread, but no picot edge.
The design consists of 8 twin lily floral sprays each with 3 shaded flowers and at edges, 2 half floral sprays with 1 flower shaded. The floral sprays have a halo like fan which is light and airy looking.

The side edges have been cut and left unfinished. A central seam turns what would have been
a straight piece of fabric into a shawl ‘V’ shape.
