Plate with scalloped edges, in a roughly octagonal shape.
Blue and white pattern with an ornate wavy, border design which includes a net-shaped design around the outside edge.
Central scene with round, white background shows three people on a bridge next to a tall tree. Behind them are several buildings receding into the elevated distance.
Backstamp names the design as "Landscape"

Contextual Information

The Adams family had potteries in Staffordshire as early as 1650. At that date two brothers, William and Thomas had separate ventures in Burslem.
Such family activity has continued to the present.
