Brylcreem hair styling cream was founded in 1928 in Birmingham, England. by County Chemicals. and became dominant in the 1950's for providing a shiny, slicked-back look. made from a blend of water, mineral oil and beeswax. by the 1960's sales slowed as "dry" and longer hair styles became popular.
