The improved Agee Utility glass jar ia a prominent, later iteration in the history of Australian and New Zealand home preserving, emerging in the 1940s and 1950s, as a superior alternative to earlier clamp-style jars. Produced by Australian Glass Manufacturers (AGM) these jars represented a shift towards screw top lids for improved sealing in household bottling.
