Overview

A black metal heavy machine with Bakelite numbers, the '0' is a cream colour, the numbers 1 to 11 are yellow. There are four black buttons on the left and three black buttons on the right. On the right of the machine is a handle.

When the numbers were pressed, the numbers were printed onto a roll of paper.

Inscriptions and markings

On the front of the machine in two lines of gold coloured lettering is "Underwood", "Sundstrand".

The markings on the buttons on the left side starting from the top are "W.N.", no markings, "CORR", "X REP'T".

The markings on the buttons on the right starting from the top are "-", a button with a silver mark, "TOTAL".

On the back of the machine in seven lines of gold coloured lettering is "Underwood", "Sundstrand", "PRODUCT OF", "Underwood Elliott Fisher Co..", "PROTECTED BY UNITED STATES", "AND FOREIGHT PATENTS", "MADE IN U.S.A.".
