Attendees to Second Annual Conference of the Country Women's Association of WA Inc in September 1946.
Kendenup was Officially opened during State Conference.
Mrs Alice Williams was State President and Mrs M.S. Niblock was the Secretary of CWA of WA.
In the 1946 September issue of the Countrywoman magazine it is written that the Tuesday afternoon of the week of State Conference would be the official opening of Kendenup, followed by a Garden Fete and the Official opening of conference in the evening. Then in another report in the magazine it is stated that the Committee had decided the official opening of Kendenup would not take place and the Association had been in the building for some time and had not been able to purchase the property. The Garden Fete still went ahead as planned.
This photo has been taken at the front of Kendenup and it is in Her Name is Woman.
In Her Name is Woman, the caption under the photo says it was 'First Nor' Westers' Meeting at Kendenup February 1948'.
