KETTLE; WATER WITH TAP, LARGE

Subcollections
Overview

Large kettle for heating water over fire. Has a very thick wire handle, affixed to knobs on the cylindrical body of kettle, that would have been used to hang the urn above the fire for water heating.
The body has a brass pipe and tap affixed to the lower side of the body. The tap has a flat handle for altering water flow. The top of the kettle is tapered up to the mouth which is closed off with a dome-shaped lid topped with a knob shaped handle, similar to the knobs on the side of the kettle.
There are no makers marks visible.
