From research, the photograph is of Horace Bernard Smith and his mother. Horace Bernard Smith served in the First World War, service number 1053 and he was awarded the Military Cross on the 14th July 1919.

In a embossed oval below the photograph on the right hand side in black typed lettering is "F.MARTYN, KATANNING."
Handwritten in black ink on the right hand side of the photograph is "With Every Good Wishfor the New Year 1920 Horace and Mrs Smith"
On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Smiths from Moojebing House"
