Rail back sofa made of jarrah in original finish.
Pam Masters said it was displayed near the engine on the ground floor in the 1970s when it first came to the Toodyay Tourist Centre. It was known as Pod Straun's day settle.

"The design of this sofa is an alternative to the rail end type of sofa with a solid timber board back. Possibly the lack of a wood turning lathe to produce turnings influenced the design choice or it may have been due to familiarity with a joined frame and available time.
