INK STAND INCLUDES WELLS; TROPHY
c. 1917Trophy in the form of an Ink stand with inkwells.
a) Rectangular electroplated silver base with spherical feet on each corner. Ornate floral/icon engravings around bevelled edge of base. Flat central port of base has fitting attached; four posts are screwed to the base, all attached underneath by butterfly screws (one missing). The posts are 25mm high and have two spherical knobs on the ends and a small hook on the outside edge creating a pen-rest on either edge of the base. Rods of silver have been welded together to form a "cage" for the two inkwells. Engraved under the "cage" are the words 'TOODYAY RIFLE CLUB/1917/S. J. LEE"
b,c) Two small square inkwells with lids. Square glass bodies with bevelled corners and edges. Small lip at entrance to deep conical well. Electroplated silver fittings and hinged domed circular lids.
Part b) has light engravings on surface of lid-reads "S J Lee, E R Lee, E R Lee". Evidence of deteriorated rubber or similar washers. Engraved under the stand are the words 'TOODYAY RIFLE CLUB/1917/S. J. LEE"
