Overview

Sepia. A weatherboard house on the south-west corner of Bay View Terrace and the Perth-Fremantle Road, Claremont. Both roads are still sandy.

Bush on council block.

On the north-west corner is a man and a bicycle alongside a post and rail wire fence.

Historical information

The house was owned by real estate agent Harry Blake.
The Perth-Fremantle Road was renamed Stirling Highway in 1931 after the first Governor of Western Australia, Admiral Sir James Stirling.
The house became a boarding house in the 1920s.
Cedar house was built behind in the 1930s.
The foundations of house became part of Richard's Electrical Shop 310 Stirling Highway, Claremont (c.1985).
The building is occupied by Mobila (2024).
