F & C Piesse Store and Flour Mill
c. 1910A sepia photograph of a single store building made from wood and with a tin roof and next to it a three storey brick building that has a brick chimney stack behind it. On the verandah of the wooden building is a sign which reads 'F & C PIESSE'. On the side of the brick building there is a white sign with dark lettering which reads 'F & C PIESSE'. In front of the wooden building is a group of men and one young boy, some of the men are dressed in suits whilst others are dressed in workmen's clothes. From the wooden building and along the front of the brick building is a picket fence. In front of the picket fence is a horse and cart which has bags of grain on it and a man sitting on the bags holding the reins of the horse. The photograph is stuck on an embossed light grey cardboard mount.

At the bottom left hand corner of the photograph on the mount is typed in dark letters 'Nixon & Merrilees,' and stampedon the right hand side of the mount is 'OPPOSITE TOWN HALL FREMANTLE W.A.'
The significance of this photograph is high as it shows the original F & C PIesse store that was built next to the Flour Mill.
