Overview

An elaborate gold shield with two circles in the centre, the outer is a wreath and the inner circle is a blue and gold enamel with a black swan in the centre. At the bottom of the badge is a blue enamel pennant. At the top of the badge in gold are two crossed axes and a fireman's helmet.

Historical information

This Long Service badge was awarded to Wally Haddleton for his service in the Katanning Brigade from 1939 to 1945.

In the blue enamel in gold lettering at the top is "FIRE BRIGADES" and at the bottom is "WEST AUSTRLIA".

In the blue4.2 pennant at the bottom in gold lettering is "LONG SERVICE".
