1986 - 1989

Overview

The two documents attached to this item describe the imposition and subsequent partial refund of a special levy that was placed on the club's membership.

The levy was necessary after the misappropriation of club funds that caused a cash flow problem for the club's operations in 1986. After court proceedings and a settlement in favour of the club the levy was partially refunded in 1989.

The attachments contain more detail on the subject.

Attachment 'a' is a two page letter sent to members specifying the levy.

Attachment 'b' is a one page refund letter sent to Rosa Palmer.
