Historical information

Built in 1862 to be the Freshwater Bay Mixed School. Became a boarding house for single men i the 1880s known as the 'Appy 'Ome. Bought by the Police Department in 1893 to serve as a home for the second constable in charge of Freshwater Bay. Opened as the Clarmeont Museum in 1975.
