On the left is St Quentin Avenue corner, new buildings including a bank, a sign for Fin's fish restaurant and a two storey brick building. In the background is the electrical goods store on the corner of Bay View Terrace and Stirling Highway.

On the left, under the verandah, are signs for a florist, [CLAREMONT/ Shopping Arcade] and [R. SAUNDERS/ GIRLS AND BOYS WEAR]. On the right are the Post Office, a number of small shops including Olson's Newsagency, the double frontage Good Samaritan Industries, several indistinguishable businesses, Pennywise Gift Shop and Home Building Society.
