PHOTOGRAPH: SIGNAL BOX AT SUBIACO STATION

Subcollections
Overview
The black and white photograph shows the two storey weatherboard railway signal box which is erected on iron pillars. The roof is of corrugated iron. Two flights of stairs lead up to the door. Windows surround the upper level. The waiting room is to the left of the signal box. Underneath the platform alongside the signal box sit two young men, and a man is standing to the front of the platform. Two people are coming down the stairs to the left of the photograph. Cars are parked at the rear of the platform. This is said to be the last but one of this type in Perth. Westrail intends to demolish it in view of electrification of trains in the future.
