Ladies White High Heel Shoes

Overview

A pair of ladies 'Fern Whispers' shoes sized 6 1/2 with a low stiletto heel. The shoes have a white leather exterior with leather and latex insole, and a black resin sole with a rusted metal tip at the end of each heel. Shoes have pointed toes with a cut-out band over the toe box, which is covered by cream-coloured lace with a circular pattern. There is gold branding printed on the insole of each shoe. On the underside of each shoe is the embossed size ('6 1/2 B') and a piece of white tape with a printed number on it ('64748').

Historical information

The wedding shoes of Nancy Bannister (nee Crisafulli). Worn on her wedding day 04/08/1962 at St Anthony's Church, Wanneroo. The shoes were purchased from Aherns Perth in July 1962. Nancy married Frederick John Bannister. The shoes cost Nancy 20 pounds and she saved the money to buy the shoes over 10 weeks.
