CROCHET, ANTIMACASSARS
Antimacassars, used on the back of chairs to stop marks from oily/dirty hair, staining upholstered furniture are rarely used in homes these days, but prevalent in Victorian England in 19th Century.
Fine white cotton fabric is hemmed at one end and at other end three filet lace crochet medallions, two large with floral design and one small with cross in centre. Two sides have a net ladder like crochet edging.
