POTATO MASHER
c. 1920 - 1940Subcollections
Overview
Potato masher with curved metal grid attached by insertion into wooden handle. Insertion has been mended with copper wire.
'Rapid Potato masher and Beater' impressed into metal section.
Indistinct pen marks of 'WR' on handle end.
Historical information
Handle has possibly been replaced with a home made version to lengthen the life-span of the utensil.
The wire wrapped around the handle appears to be a later modification to secure it.
