Notice to attend for enlistment for Donald P. Day. 11 October 1940.

Donald P. Day, having previously signed an agreement to enlist for war, received his enlistment notice on October 11th, 1940 and was thus instructed to the Albany Railway Station, where he was processed with hundreds of other men and loaded onto a train to Claremont. The Notice instructs him that he may bring shaving soap, razor strop, toothpaste and a padlock and key.

Having been selected for enlistment in the Australian Imperial Force for service in Australia or abroad, you are hereby required to attend for second medical re-examination and attestation.

You will proceed to R.R.D Claremont by the train leaving Albany in Monday 28th Oct 40 at 5 am.

You will report to Draft Conducting Officer, Railway Station ALBANY. 4:15 pm sharp.
