Overview

Front: The original black and white photograph shows four rows of children, alternating girls and boys. Taken against a brick wall at Subiaco School, with part of the windows and flower pots on the window sills above the children's heads. Two large plant pots complete with plants stand on either side of the group.

The original photograph is thought to have originally belonged to Dulce Chandler, who is identified in the second row from the back with a cross, and by her initials on the back.

Reverse: Handwritten note on the back lists the names of children, which accomodates the photograph: '(From left to right, back row): Victor Franks, William Griffiths, Bernard Lippert, Phil Owen, Don Donaldson, Horace Ward, Jack Banfield, Robert Campbell, Ken Mellowship, Jack Denmark, Leslie Dennis, Ray Lucas, Albert Fogarty, Frank Keth, Ivan Williams (second row):Jean Brewer, Edna Paterson, Ena Bick, Mabel Harris, Nellie Richardson, Dorothy Gulliver, Jean Fist, (D.C.), Margaret Prisk, Alma Eastman, Dorothy Brown, Ada Butler.
