POSTCARD: CHILDREN OF SUBIACO SCHOOL

Overview

Front: The original black and white photograph features two loose rows of girls standing in nurses' costumes of long white dress and apron with a large red cross on the front and head-dress of a long scarf also with a red cross. Prostrate in front of them is a line of boys in military uniform and slouch hats. The photograph is taken out of doors in a garden or parkland setting The names of the children are handwritten on the back, and are also listed on an accompanying sheet. The original photograph may have belonged to Dulce Chandler (as in P85.204) who is identified in the back row by a cross on the front, and her initials (DC) on the back.

Reverse: Handwritten note: 'Left to right- Girls, back: Marjorie Hodge, (DC) (Dulce Chandler?), Jean Peden, Edna Paterson Girls, front: May Salter, Alma Eastman, Dorothy Brown, Myrtle Davenport, Vera Williams, Dorothy Miller, Olga Benjamin, Jean Fist.
