Surveyor's Report on WISALTS Soil Conservation System created by BJ (Crash) Edwards.

Avon Location 1598.

Comments: This work is in addition to the survey done 19 April 1985. Original bank number 2 was put in a level bank outletting into the main creek which is 2 to 3 metres below paddock level, it had the effect of protecting the area to the north east but ponding started to occur at the bend near the road and quickly started to get worse as surrounding ground begun to collapse. New number 4 bank has only 1.5 metres fall in 900 metres but bottom of bank will be checked frequently with level to prevent ponding. Bank number 3 is intended to supplement number 1 and pick up throughflow coming underneath number 1, has a grade of 3 to 5 centimetres per 30 metres.
