Historical information

Lynwood was built c1894 for Thomas Robinson. It came into the hands of Stephen Andrew Brown in 1905 and remained in the Brown family until 1943.

Contextual Information

Lynwood is significant for the construction of the house during the period of development of the Western Australian Government Railway Workshops, Midland and the consequent expansion of Midland Junction and the nearby Swan Valley. Despite significant heritage value, the house was demolished in 2013 when it was deemed beyond repair.
