Historical information

Johnnie Walker (Scottish Gaelic: Seonaidh Walker) is a brand of Scotch whisky produced by Diageo in Scotland. In 1820, grocer John Walker created the brand when he opened a distillery and grocery shop Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It was once the world's largest bottling plant and sold in almost every country. The Kilmarnock operation was closed down in 2012.
