Historical information

This book is a part record of tickets sold from the opening of the Katanning Swimming Pool in October 1938 to 1946. It is not a complete record for all of the years, however on page 147 there was a ticket sold to Kevin O'Halloran from Kojonup who later went on to win a gold medal in the 4 by 200 metre freestyle relay in the 1956 Olympics. Kevin O'Halloran was the first West Australian to win a gold medal. There are other names of Katanning residents.
