Blackboy Hill army training camp was situated near Northam in Western Australia. On the back of the postcard is a very faded letter

On the front of the postcard in white handwriting is "The camp of the 32nd Battallion A.I.F. BLACKBOY HILL"
On the back of the postcard is printed in green lettering "POST" and then a circular emblem which has the word "EMPIRE" at the top and then a lion and a Kangaroo either side of a camera on a stand. After the emblem is "CARD". Underneath this line are two columns, the heading above the left column is "CORRESPONDENCE" and above the right column is "ADDRESS ONLY". In the top right hand corner is a green rectangle with the word "STAMP" inside.
On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil is "Dearest These two photos were taken by a camp photographer & I thought you might like to see them. You will be able to find me on the other one but I do not know about this one. I am standing with my hat on the back of my head in front of the front tent in the second from the left line. There is a white patch in line with my forehead. Am writing more later Stan."
Blackboy Hill Camp was the army training camp that many Kataning men were sent to to for initial army training.
