Overview

A black and white photograph of children marching along a street and in front of them is a policeman on a police motor cycle.

Historical information

World War II celebrations as the children walk down from the Katanning Town hall to the show grounds for the celebration, a similar event was held after World War I. The photo shows Saint Ritas Convert, Reidy House and Brockhurst Hospital which was demolished c1960. The photograph is taken at the corner of Amhurst and Arbour streets, Katanning.
