A sheep sale Day in Katanning with men standing around the yards. On the left hand side of the postcard in the background can be seen the first Roman Catholic church. The sale yard was in Brittania Street and in 1996 the Fuel Depot was situated at this site

On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil is "First Sale yard" and "Old R.C. in background".
On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and below this line the card has two columns with the headings "Write here for Inland Postage only" and "The Address to be written here"
