Overview
These three tall sculptures located in the grassed section of the civic centre courtyard, are designed to be wayfinding devices, helping to direct visitors through the courtyard to the Council Chambers. The simple abstract shape of these works were inspired by water and the nearby river and are intended to complement and contrast with the Hedge artwork.
Historical information
Three tall sculptures which are wayfinding devices, have been installed within the various grassed sections in the courtyard. These help ‘locate’ a visitor and direct them through the courtyard to the Council Chambers. The simple abstract shapes of these three works were inspired by ‘water’ (the nearby river) and are intended
to compliment and contrast with the ‘hedge’ artwork at the entry.
