Overview

Dark red leather look cover with gold lettering. Dust jacket in pale blue with painting of ' Hawthornden' by Peter Rohan. Built in 1860 by James Drummond, first West Australian Botanist. Home of the Lee-Steer family since 1922. On back of dust jacket is portrait by Owen Garde 1993, of Sir Ernest Lee-Steer K.B.E. Lord Mayor of Perth 1972-1978. 325 pages, illustrated, colour & black & white photographs, contents page, anthology of ten poems. On page at front of book is written 'To the Historical Society of Albany with my very best wishes and thanks for the good service you do for the history of the area'. Signed Ernest H. Lee-Steere April 1996.
