In a communication with team member Kevin Russell, he recounted some of the happenings on the day of the pennant final. 'The final was held at WAGC and finished in the dark due to the WAGC ladies' comp(etition) finishing late which delayed the senior pennant finals on the day. We were the last match and tied one all with the remaining three games either tied or one up to each team. The WA golf coordinator originally ruled that the match would continue the next day. This didn’t suit either the host club or (our opponents) Wanneroo who had some players whom had to work. In the end it was decided to give both clubs a pennant.'
