ORAL HISTORY (AUDIO): BULL, BRIAN
2008Summary: Born in Subiaco in 1933, Brian Bull would grow up in Daglish and Subiaco until he was ten years old. He talks of his life in the Subiaco area including recollection of the family grocers business and the living arrangements associated with the business. He describes the adventures that children experienced growing up in Subiaco prior to and during the Second World War. Brian recalls his father’s employment as private fireman at the local Shenton Park picture theatre. He looks at the depth of community spirit associated with Subiaco during the war years and speaks of the many changes that he has witnessed in the suburb since his childhood days.
