Photo of motor body building works owned by Alexander Percy John Bovell and AM Amodeo located at 246 Barker Road Subiaco.
Bovell resigned from the Federal Tax Department in December,1922 and entered into a partnership with A M Amodeo to establish motor body building works at Subiaco. In July 1923, Bovell bought out Amodeo's interest for £123.and continued trading as proprietor until June1925. The business grew considerably and to accommodate this expansion land was purchased at 246 Barker Road, and the building and plant were erected. The business encountered issues and Bovell filed for bankruptcy on 9 June 1926.
