Inscriptions and markings

On the front of the fan on the handle in black lettering is "SWEET INNOCENCE" and underneath is "688" a "c" in a circle followed by "H.P.W."

On the back of the fan is black typed lettering "With Compliments from ", underneath is "RICHARDSON & CO.", underneath is "Successors to F. & C. PIESSE.", underneath is "General Storekeepers", underneath is "KATANNING", underneath is "WOODANILLING, KOJONUP, TAMBELLUP, BROOMEHILL, NYABING and BADGEBUP".

On the back of the fan on the left hand side is "CHAS. STEELE & CO., MELB"
