The Official Opening of the Cranbrook Hall was commemorated on the 31st August, 1957, and was officially opened by Mr LG Hordacre Esq JP.
The Road Board Office was built in 1908, from stone sourced from several farms in the area. The Road Board Office building was used until new shire offices were opened in1967. Cranbrook Road Board separated from the Plantagenet Road Board in 1927.
