Overview

30 pieces of sheet music as individual sheets to small booklets being a mixture of classical sonatinas, waltzes, Irish songs, musical monologues and popular music.

Some sheets are bound by hand with threads and silk material.

Only a sample has been photographed.

Historical information

Sheet music collected and used by Clara and Reg Bott. Both spent time in Subiaco before getting married.

Recommend deaccession and transfer to Subiaco museum

Statement of significance

This music sheet was used at a time when entertainment at home was made by oneself or with others. Music was played with physical instruments and parties were often held to show of skill and entertain guests.

The donor used the sheet with her husband and shared it with her sisters.
